Our Health and Safety Policy

Stravica Ltd is committed to protecting everyone affected by our work: the operatives who deliver it and the residents, patients, pupils and staff who use the water systems we manage. We comply with UK health and safety law, including the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Management Regulations 1999, COSHH, the Confined Spaces Regulations, the Work at Height Regulations and RIDDOR. Every service follows HSE's Approved Code of Practice L8 and HSG274.

What This Means In Practice

• Plan and control: Site-specific, unredacted RAMS approved before work starts. The hierarchy of control is applied before PPE, and dynamic risk assessment is carried out on arrival.
• Water hygiene hazards controlled: Aerosol exposure, chlorine-based chemicals, confined tanks, scalding and work at height are managed through permits, gas monitoring, correct RPE and safe discharge.
• Competent people: Every operative is named, vetted and verified before deployment, with accredited water hygiene, confined space and asbestos awareness training.
• Delivery partners: Only Legionella Control Association member organisations, pre-qualified, audited and subject to monthly performance review.
• Occupants protected: Advance notice of work, alternative water supplies for vulnerable residents, and outlets isolated and signed during disinfection.
• Emergency readiness: Spill kits, eyewash, first aid and confined space rescue plans at every relevant task.
• Speak up: Anyone can stop unsafe work, and hazards and near misses are reported without fear of reprisal.
