Environmental & Sustainability Policy

Delivering Safe, Sustainable and Efficient Operations

Our Commitment

Stravica Ltd is committed to protecting the environment, preventing pollution and delivering services that enable a just transition to net zero. We operate an Environmental Management System aligned to ISO 14001 and the UK Government’s Net Zero Strategy.

Scope: All Stravica offices, vehicles, sites and supply-chain activity across the UK.

What This Means In Practice

  • Compliance first: We meet or exceed all applicable environmental legislation and client requirements.
  • Plan–Do–Check–Act: Environmental risks are built into bids, site set-up, delivery and close-out via Site Environmental Management Plans (SEMPs).
  • Pollution prevention: Controls for air, water, land and noise; no open burning; bunded storage and spill response at every site.
  • Resource efficiency: Waste prevention, reuse and recycling as standard, with duty-of-care checks for all carriers.
  • Carbon & energy: Measured in line with the GHG Protocol using DEFRA factors; reduction roadmaps and quarterly reporting to the Board.
  • People & culture: Mandatory inductions, toolbox talks and a Green Champions network to drive everyday behaviours.
  • Supply chain: Preference for ISO 14001-accredited partners; sustainable procurement criteria applied to all high-impact buys.

Our Targets

  • –50% Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 2030 versus FY2024 baseline.
  • ≥90% waste diverted from landfill (with ≥65% recycled) on managed projects.
  • –15% office electricity intensity by 2027.
  • –10% water intensity by 2027.
  • Biodiversity net-gain actions on at least one project per year.
  • Low/zero-emission fleet transition, with EV charging at offices and eco-driver training.

For Our Clients

  • Environmental risk registers and carbon impacts included at bid stage.
  • Clear SEMP controls on waste, energy, dust/noise and spill prevention.
  • Monthly site metrics (waste, fuel, incidents) and quarterly KPI reporting.
  • End-of-project environmental close-out with lessons learned.

For Our Suppliers

We expect:

  • Evidence of environmental competence (policy/EMS, licences, recycling rates).
  • Responsible material sourcing (e.g., FSC timber, low-VOC finishes).
  • Reduced packaging and take-back schemes where practicable.
  • Collaboration on joint carbon-reduction goals.

Governance & transparency

  • The Managing Director sponsors our sustainability strategy
  • The Head of HSEQ leads the Environmental Management System and quarterly reporting.
  • Performance is audited twice yearly and reviewed by the Board annually.
  • We publish an Annual Environmental & Carbon Report summarising progress against targets.
